The Year in Review: Our Top 5 Moments of 2018
Another year has come and gone, and what a year it was! While it seems like just yesterday we were recapping 2017, the time has come for us to take a look back at the highlights of 2018.
1. New Video: The Story of Kaivac
In 1997, our founder Bob Robinson Sr. was determined to find a way to make restroom cleaning more hygienic and dignified for the cleaning worker. 20 years later, Kaivac is still going strong. Now, you can get the full story about how one cleaning company owner changed the industry forever. Take a look at where we’ve been, and where we’re going.
2. No-Touch Cleaning Goes Big
Facilities and restrooms come in all shapes and sizes. Shouldn’t the equipment used to clean them come in all sizes as well? In 2018 we introduced the Kaivac 2750, our largest system to date. Featuring a 27-gallon fresh water tank, 500 PSI pump, 3-stage vacuum and the industry’s longest spray line and vacuum hose, the 2750 is a game changer for large facilities.
3. Kaivac Named Top Workplace
In June, we received the honor of being listed as a top workplace by the Cincinnati Enquirer. This list is created solely off of surveys completed by employees. We value our team so much; it was a true honor to be recognized in this way!
4. Icky Meets Benji
The mop everyone loves to hate made a return in 2018, and this time he brought a friend. In a new video series, Icky and his mopping mentee, Benji, meet the OmniFlex – aka the janitors cart with superpowers. Needless to say, Icky has a lot to be worried about.
5. Stopping the Mop at ISSA 2018
This year’s ISSA trade show brought attendees to a whole new city – Dallas, Texas. Our team was thrilled to explore Dallas and make connections with users and distributors alike. Of course, Icky the Mop made an appearance and encouraged people to keep mopping, but we feel confident his cries fell on deaf ears. We spoke to users about where they have, or would like to, stop the mop, and their answers convinced us that Icky’s days are numbered.
Cheers to a successful year, and thank you to all who are making an effort to improve the lives of cleaners and building occupants alike. We can’t wait to see what’s in store in 2019!
